The Liskerrett Community Centre
Welcome to Liskerrett
Liskerrett Community Centre is a registered charity (no. 1078598) and a company limited by guarantee (no. 3784846). Set up on the site of the former Liskeard Junior School, the Centre opened in 2002.
Owned and managed for the community by the community, the Liskerrett Community Centre is a busy, friendly and vibrant multi-purpose community resource providing a wealth of opportunity, a wide range of services and activities, and a meeting place for people of all ages.
The Centre is open every day of the week for a huge range of activities for all ages and is available for hire. Our reception is open each week day from 9am-5pm.
We have a vegetarian café, a community garden and art studios that are rented out to local artists. We offer a hall space and rooms to hire for activities such as dance, aikido, meetings, theatre, training, music, film and much more. We are members of Carn to Cove, Cornwall’s rural touring scheme and regularly host events and performances from touring companies making live theatre accessible to a local audience.
As an independent, non-profit making organisation we are a facility with lots of possibility, so please browse our web site and find out about our current activities! Or, why not start a group of your own? You can hire a room for a meeting or event.
Management
Liskerrett Community Centre is managed by a voluntary board of directors, made up of people who live or work in the local community. Day to day service provision is delivered by a team made up of both staff and volunteers.
The aim of the Centre is to promote benefits for Liskeard and the surrounding area, linking with local community and voluntary organisations and members of the community in a common effort to provide a wide range of social, educational, welfare and leisure activities to improve the quality of life for the local community.

Staff Team
Our centre manager is Sally Hawken, our cleaner is Donna McGowan, and our book keeper Ian Britnell. Our Café is run by Cathy Ross. We rely on a team of dedicated volunteers to keep the Centre open each day.
