Liskerrett Community Cinema

 

The Liskerrett Community Cinema has been running since September 2007.

We like to involve our audiences in choosing the films that we screen and our latest selection includes some excellent films. Please feel free to make suggestions anytime for films you would like to see. 

Films are shown on the first Friday of the month at 2.30pm and 7.30pm unless otherwise advertised. The matinee screenings are sub-titled.

We provide refreshments at each screening and produce film notes for subscribers to our email list.

 

 It helps if people reserve a place, which we're trialling online. Please follow the links under each film below. 

Tickets £5 payable on the door using a card or cash.

Still Pushing Pineapples

Friday 3rd July

Still Pushing Pineapples (2025) is a poignant British documentary following Dene Michael, former singer of the 80s novelty band Black Lace, as he navigates life after fleeting fame.  The film tracks his efforts to make a comeback, touring working men's clubs with his 89-year-old mother, Anne, and new partner, Hayley.

How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies 

Friday 7th August

After his grandmother is diagnosed with cancer, a scheming young man moves in to care for her, motivated by a desire to secure her fortune for himself. Unfortunately for him, it turns out that winning Grandma's favor is no easy feat.

H is for Hawk

Friday 4th September

H is for Hawk is a biographical drama following Helen (Claire Foy), a Cambridge academic who struggles with profound depression following the sudden death of her beloved father (Brendan Gleeson). To process her loss, she buys and trains a notoriously difficult wild goshawk named Mabel, using the ancient art of falconry to navigate her grief.
