Liskeard's Lights Up event will soon be here and we are looking forward to a day packed with things to do and see  around the town including:

Follow a town trail and hunt the White Stag in the Christmas window displays. Learn how to answer simple questions in Cornish and collect Holly Berry stickers. A completed Holly Leaf card gets you a celebratory Cakey Tea at the Public Hall. Starts at 11am.

Visit the tick box bus, in town for the day.

See Santas on bikes.

Visit the Christmas tree festival in the Methodist Church and listen to Cornish storytelling in the library.

5.00pm Experience the Helgh Gwyla / Wild Hunt, the story of Dando and His Dogs performed in the streets and then at various hostelries around the town before finishing later in the Public Hall.

5.30pm Lights Up Procession on the theme of Close Encounters of the Illuminated Kind. Leaves the Cattle Market Car Park to process around the town centre to The Parade for the official turning on of the Christmas lights and a celebratory firework display.

From 7.00pm A Cornish Feast in Liskeard Public Hall, with the opportunity to purchase food and drink and enjoy musical entertainment and join in with Cornish dancing.
