Theatre

Friday 31st March 2023

Location: Liskerrett

Renowned Cornish theatre and film company o-region presents a premiere tour of the exciting new play TRE  - which will play exclusively to select venues across Cornwall in March / April 2023

 About the show:

 TRE

Mary Martin is home.

As she walks the streets, towans and beaches of the small Cornish town that had been her world, powerful memories awaken and simmer.

‘Thought I’d go for a walk.  Lay some ghosts to rest’.

TRE is a complex story about family, forgiveness and finding yourself in the face of lost dreams.

In turns, funny, romantic heart wrenching and ultimately empowering, TRE will resonate with the realities of real life in modern rural Cornwall.

ABOUT THE TEAM:

Writer - Sarah Connors

Sarah is a Cornwall based writer. Her work explores ‘Stories of today,’ often giving a voice to the older woman’s experience.  She draws inspiration from the working class background, her home in Cornwall and her Irish heritage.  Sarah has been a finalist in the Papatango Playwriting Award, Phil Fox Award, Nick Darke Cornish Award and shortlisted for Theatre503 International playwriting Award.

Sarah’s writing gets right to the heart of things.  Her stories and plays are about the messiness of lives, written viscerally but with great humanity. I am a little bit jealous.
